__Review of USCG laws governing the waters of Indiana (including drug and alcohol assessment)
__Review of the watercraft safety equipment (make sure everyone has appropriate sized life preserver)
__Overall review of watercraft (fill out pre-damage inspection report)
__Operation of starting and stopping and safety lanyard (including emergency stopping)
__Operation of throttle and steering (remember – no brakes)
__Docking and cruising operation (Paradise channel markers)
__Rules governing water sports operation (engine must be turned off to board boat)
__Emergency care and procedure (including contact number and procedure)
__Review of boating boundary map and inherent dangers (hand out map)
